“Could someone service the filter on Thursday morning?”
Thursday, 9–10 AM · Has serviced this property before.
Thanks for your request. Your pool service is scheduled for Thursday, September 17, 2026, 9–10 AM (America/Chicago). Please let us know if you have questions.
Private draft for your review. Shared with the homeowner after you approve.
Less scheduling back-and-forth
An invited homeowner asks for service, a reschedule or a cancellation. Their preference stays attached to the request.
DeckHand checks your saved schedule and shows available technicians. Past visits and workload help explain which match fits.
DeckHand AI prepares the homeowner response from your selected appointment details. Edit the wording so it sounds right to you.
Availability is rechecked. The calendar updates and the homeowner sees the decision and response in their request.
One company. More than one available slot.
A busy technician doesn’t mean the whole company is booked. Availability is checked for each active technician, so two people can work at two pools at the same time.
Company hours, technician shifts, existing visits, configured service requirements and time off inform available options.
Completed visits at the property or for the homeowner help rank technicians alongside timing and the rest of the day.
DeckHand AI drafts the wording using the request and selected appointment details. Review it, edit it or write your own before confirming.
The homeowner knows where things stand
A preferred time is a request, not a promise. Homeowners can see when their pool company has reviewed it, along with the confirmed appointment and company response.
Keep visit timing, service reports, pool details and the company conversation accessible in the web portal and current iPhone beta.
Useful defaults. Optional details.
Confirm the basics first. You can refine qualifications, service durations and time off as the schedule grows.
Defaults are a starting point. Confirm they reflect your company’s work and timezone.
Each scheduling resource has availability. Inviting staff to sign in is a separate company-controlled step.
Turn on AI reply assistance where homeowner settings allow it. Review suggested times and the reply before approving.
Practical answers
Bring a homeowner request to one place where you can compare suggested times and available technicians, then review an AI-drafted response. DeckHand checks the schedule you have recorded; its AI prepares the wording from the selected appointment details. You can change the choice or the reply before approving the visit.
This is a public product demonstration with fictional data. Your company’s working calendar is available after sign-in. Nothing you try in the public demo creates an appointment or contacts a customer.
DeckHand checks recorded working hours, appointments, service requirements and time off, then ranks available options using the homeowner’s requested timing, technician continuity, completed service history and workload. The reason is shown beside the option; your team makes the final choice.
You can start with company hours, an active technician and service defaults. Missing optional time-off or history records do not prevent suggestions. Keep your existing commitments current and review the available options; missing details are not proof that someone is available.
The current release uses the schedule recorded in DeckHand. Google, Outlook, Apple and other pool-service calendar syncing are not connected. Add your outside commitments before using DeckHand to confirm visits.
Set a fixed travel allowance and preparation buffer between visits. Same-property visits can avoid the driving allowance while retaining the preparation buffer. This is not a live traffic estimate or route optimization service.
The reviewed appointment response is saved with the homeowner’s Calendar request after confirmation. It does not itself send an email, carrier SMS or conversation message. Your other customer conversations keep their own reply and delivery controls.
No. Suggestions are tentative. DeckHand rechecks the assigned technician’s availability when you approve; if the time is no longer available, choose another option.
Staff can create a finite series of weekly, 2-week or 4-week visits, with 2–52 appointments checked before the series is saved. Automatic route generation, route optimization and timed appointment reminders are not part of the current release. Changes to an existing series are made one visit at a time.
